How to remove lines on Coraline theme
-
Hi there,
I am wanting to remove the thick black line that currently cuts through my social icons? I think it looks awful and really don’t want to leave it like that.
Has anybody got any tips? I’m new to this CSS thing but do know how to do basic things.
Thank you so much,

Hi Esther,
You can add the following CSS to push the thick black line down:
#text-7 { overflow: hidden; }(It is actually part of the “Follow by Email” widget title)
-
That is actually the top border line on the follow widget. Let’s try adding the following, which sets a height for the text widget you used for your social icons.
#text-7 { height: 80px; } -
@thesacredpath Yeah, this looks like a classic floating-things-puts-them-out-of-their-container issue to me, which can be solved with overflow hidden.
Your solution works too! That’s a new thing for me.

The overflow thing I’ve committed to memory for future. I had never though of that one. Thanks for teaching me something new.

Wow! Thank you. It has worked wonderfully and looks exactly how I wanted it to.
Thank you so much.
