how to remove link to full image?

Wen i insert photos in a gallery, i have these two options when it comes to link the photos :
Link thumbnails to:
◦Image File: A direct link to the full size uploaded image.
◦Attachment Page: A specialized page in your blog that shows the image in your selected theme.I choose the second option, but i dont want that next step – that second “link” the photo one more time that makes it even bigger – i want to remove that last link. I hope someone understand ?? Im happy with the photo as it is in “Attachment Page: A specialized page in your blog that shows the image in your selected theme”…………….

its not only one image, but every photo i put a gallery.

When you upload the photos in the first place, do you choose “Link to File?” If so, stop. That should prevent this from happening in the future.

@raincoaster: Unfortunately that doesn’t apply to gallery images. Those ill-conceived “attachment pages” are outside our control.

This problem with linked images and its tedious way of unlinking them is where Windows Live Writer (WLW) shines as I recently discovered. WLW allows me to save my preferences too so the next time I create a new blog post, it remembers that I want all my images centered, remove all links to them, add a photo border with a hint of drop shadow .. basically you can save your preferences for future imports .. it’s so cool and it’s so convenient I wondered why I didn’t discover it sooner.
