How to remove MASSIVE permalink in blog post on AutoFocus

  I’ve made my first blog post using the AutoFocus theme. On the blog, a massive “28 Mar” is there in a pale pink box and underneath are less than two lines of my blog post. Yes, if I click the permalink, I am taken to my blog post but I want to eliminate that step all together. How can I delete the inconvenient (and unattractive) permalink.

  I would like my blog to show the entire blog post as most blogs do. Is that possible?

  If you click on my “BLOG” page, you’ll understand. And if you click on the permalink, you’ll be able to see how I would like my blog page to look.

  I would really appreciate it. My blog page is such an eye sore right now.

  Hi there. I’m afraid that’s how your theme was designed. The idea with Autofocus is that you include a large featured image with each post. The blog page will then show only the image and the date, and then you click on the image to view the rest of the post. See the theme’s support doc and demo page for how it’s supposed to work: https://wordpress.com/themes/autofocus/

  To remove the date from displaying you’ll need to edit the theme’s CSS, for which you’ll need the Custom Design upgrade.

  As I said above, you need to assign a featured image for each post. You do that in the post editor while writing/editing a post. Instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image

  According to your theme’s support doc I linked above, the featured images need to be 800 pixels wide to display correctly.
