How to remove “Meta” Category from front page?

  Hi there,

  I would like to remove the “Meta” category entirely from this blog, but cannot find the code for it.

  I am used to working with a self-hosted blogsite, and so am unfamiliar with the way the Dashboard is set up here.

  Any help would be so appreciated.

  You don’t have a Meta category: you have a Meta widget.

  Just go to Appearance->widgets and add a widget. That will wipe out the default set of widgets and you can just add in whichever ones you want.

  Meta is actually a widget, not a category. What you are seeing is the default sample set of widgets that are generated by the theme. Once you add even a single widget to the sidebar, the sample set will go away. Simply drag the widgets that you want to have in the sidebar from the available widgets area on the appearance > widgets page over and into the sidebar module. Make sure and move the widget around a little till the grey outlined box appears before releasing the mouse button.
