how to remove myself as a contributor?

  My friend had a blog which she made me a contributor (I think, or some similar role) to. Now she no longer uses the blog and I would like to be removed as a contributor so that it doesn’t always pop up in my list of blogs, however she has forgotten her password/username etc. to even get into the dashboard and change the settings to remove me (good work friend!). So really my question is, is there any way that I can remove myself? Thanks!
