How to remove page links from sidebar
-
I have created a page on my blog, called START HERE. A link to it has been automatically added to top of the sidebar on my homepage. (If you click “MENU” on my homepage, you see “START HERE” at the top of the sidebar.) I would like to remove this link. How can I do that? The link does not seem to be editable in the Appearance> Widgets or Appearance>Customize>Widgets>Sidebar.
The blog uses the Intergalactic 2 theme.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
It looks like the page was automatically added to your menu, but you haven’t created any menus for your site, so there’s nowhere to edit it. If you try to create a new menu as explained here:
https://wordpress.com/support/menus/create-a-menu/,
And leave it empty; does it change anything?

Thanks. I have created a new menu, but am not sure how that helps. If I try to edit the sidebar widgets, it is the same as before. Or should I be doing something else?

I have tried unpublishing and republishing the page and adding the page to and removing it from the menu, but it has not solved the problem. Unpublishing the page removes the link from the sidebar widget area, but it reappears as soon as it is published.
