How to remove search bar

    Hi,
    Thanks for your help.

My word press site is ammenconsulting.wordpress.com (now http://www.ammenconsulting.com) premium “Hive” theme.

I would simply like to remove the search bar (which when you land on my page shows ‘NOTHING FOUND’ in huge caps!) feature. While we may add posts down the line, right now we want to keep our wordpress site simple and clean.

Can you show me how to do this? I’ve searched the forums and can’t figure it out.

Thanks for your patience and help,
    Mo

    Hello there!

I visited your site, but I am not seeing a search bar. Were you able to solve your own issue, or do you still require assistance?

If you need help, please tell me where this search bar is appearing and I can assist further.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Hi, thanks for your email. Yes, on the landing page I was able to remove the search bar but it still says in all caps:

    “Nothing Found”

because I have no blog posts. I may never want to post blog posts and just do pages. How do I get rid of that “Nothing Found”?

    Hello again.

Nice work with the search bar :)

If you want your front page to be static, rather than to contain blog posts, you can set that up by following these instructions:

    Set the Homepage

You don’t have to set up a blog page at all, if you don’t plan on using one. You can also wait and do it in the future, if you change your mind.

I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!
