How to remove search bar, archives and meta (right side bar)
-
Hello,
I’m using the free version of wordpress.com and have found a theme I like (Motif).
Is it possible to remove the search bar, archives and meta headings on the right side of my page? Thanks,

Hi Leo,
Look for Widgets in your dashboard. Open it.
Drag the undesired widgets out of your sidebar back over to the widgets menu. -
I removed this bits by changing the page attributes on each page from default template to full page width. Notwithstanding this, the search results page (which I can’t find to change) still shows up these things. How do you solve those? There is nothing to drag and drop.

All themes here will display a default display that appears to contain a sample set of widgets in the sidebar and/or footer when you have not yet added any of your own. Go to Appearance > Widgets and add the widgets you desire and configure them and the default display will disappear.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/If you do not want any widgets to display in any sidebar(s) at all (or footer widget areas) you place an empty text widget at the top of each sidebar or footer area. Then click to open, add no title, add no body text, click “save” and click “close”.
