Hi there!
Here is the documentation for your theme, Pictorico: https://wordpress.com/theme/pictorico
The search bar at the top is part of the design of the theme. It’s not a widget that can be removed.
However, if you have a Premium or Business plan you can edit the CSS to hide it. (Pricing info: https://wordpress.com/pricing/)
Here’s an older forum post with the CSS code you can add to remove the search bar: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/pictorico-remove-search-option-on-top-of-theme?replies=3

Thank you for your help staff-eleanor!
@flaviosavorelli: If you’d like a free theme that’s similar to Pictorico, but with no search box, you could filter our repository for themes with a grid layout as a starting point:

Dyad is one of my personal favourites. :)
I’d be happy to help with other theme suggestions if you have an idea on the sort of features you want too!
