How to remove tags from blog posts
-
Hi,
Under settings>reading “tags” is not checked but I’m still seeing the tags on the blog posts. Is this because I’m the one viewing the website so I see the tags but others won’t?
Btw, my site is currently set to private.
Thanks,
Christine
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The “tags” option at Settings > Reading > Enhanced feeds has no effect on posts. That setting affects feeds, not posts.

No. The only way to get tags on a WordPress.com post is to add them intentionally to the post. If you add tags to a post, everyone with access to the site (with site visibility set on private) will see the same tags that you see. Whether tags are displayed on the posts page, and on individual posts, is also theme dependent.

Yes, I do not want the tags on my blog posts. I couldn’t find any helpful info for my theme in the “hide tags” forum. I have the “Kelly” theme.

Just to clarify: So you want the posts to have tags, but not have the tags displayed on posts. Is that correct?

I found the following post among the “hide tags” tagged forum results. It includes a solution in the form of a CSS code, provided by a staff member. I’m pretty sure CSS customization is the only way to obtain the result you ask for.
