How to remove the date from my post link in wp.com
-
I just published my first post on wp.com and I cannot figure out how to remove the date from the post link. http://bloggingspree.wordpress.com/2014/07/04/test-post-1/
What I would like to have is only http://bloggingspree.wordpress.com/test-post-1/
On the self hosted wp we have the option of configuring how we want our post to appear but I don’t seem to be able to find it on wp.com platform. Can you help, please
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m afraid that’s one of the areas where .org has flexibility that is not available on .com. There is no way to remove dates from the permalinks on posts.

If I have my own domain name that I purchased through wordpress, does that mean that I have a .org or a .come wordpress site? I would like to change the default permalink option but it isn’t available in my settings options. How can I get it to show up>

http://motherofdrool.wordpress.com/ is a WordPress.COM site. Buying a domain name or upgrade doesn’t change where your blog is hosted.
You’d need to buy hosting at $120 a year and up, install software from WordPress.org, buy a theme, and use the domain name there.
