How to remove the flag counter….
-
I added a flag counter yesterday, do not like it, and now cannot get it out!
I did not upload the code myself, I went to flagcounter website and had it installed by them. I already contacted flagcounter, but was wondering if anyone here knows how I could get that thing out. I don’t like the place where it landed… right in front of the initial page, very distracting
:-(
thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s a temporary “landing” place. You go to the post editor, switch to html, copy the code, delete the post, paste the code in a text widget for your sidebar.

Thanks…
but where exactly is the code? I edit a page? Appearance? how on Earth did it land there?
(sorry for being so “dense”…… :-)

Sally,
Go to edit the post where the flag counter is. Switch from the visual editor to the html editor. Copy the code from that.
Then add a text widget to your sidebar. Paste the code into the widget. Save.
Then you can delete the post where the flagcounter is because it should now be on your sidebar. -
Posts > Edit > click the “Edit” tab that shows up when you hover under the title of that temporary post, click the “html” tab.

You guys have the patience of saints….
thank you, it’s moved. I still find it a little bulky, if I cannot get used to it, I’ll delete it.
