How to Remove the icon for External Links

  I have an image that i have added an external link to, though now it has added a “external link” icon (symbol) underneath the image. Is it possible to remove that little icon?

  I found http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-external-links/ though it didnt work. So i assume it may be something embedded into the theme, or a wordpress setting i have been unsuccessful at finding.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click that link and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers re: plugins.
