    Hi,
I presume that you are referring to the site https://thebrokenboomerang.wordpress.com/.

i was trying to change the layout on my blog to the grid theme

    Which grid theme?

how to remove the MORE link on my post

On the posts page, with the Gateway them activated, posts are evidently truncated to conform to a certain maximum length.

can someone help me get my post back to normal and maybe tell me how i can get my blog to be a grid so each of my posts is a square photo and a title that people click on to see the post…

What do you mean by “back to normal?” Among the features of the Homepage Template of the Gateway theme is the display of either your three latest posts, or three posts with a specific featured content tag, in a row, each topped with a square scaled and cropped version of a featured image. Other than this, I don’t know what you mean by “get my blog to be a grid.” Did you use another theme previously?

    Hi

Well when I originally posted my post was displayed in full and there was no link to read more, when I tried to change my blog to the cubic grid theme it wouldn’t display how I had saw in the example eg. A grid or square photos with the post title that people would click to read the post. For eg how the blog appears on http://www.traveladventurejess.wordpress.com Because I couldn’t get it to display like this I tried to change it back and when I did the post which originally was displayed in full was cut short to a few lines with the more link having to be pressed to see the rest. I’m totally new to this stuff so I will except the defeat of changing to the grid setting on the cubic theme but I would just like for people to be able to view my post like they used to before I tried to make the changes.
    Hope this makes sense
    Thank you

Your post displays in full on the single post: https://thebrokenboomerang.wordpress.com/2015/07/21/once-upon-a-time/, but not on the posts or blog page. That’s normal for this theme. When you previously saw the full page displayed, you were probably on the single post rather than on the posts (blog) page. Either that or you were using a different theme that displays the full post on the posts page.

I’m totally new to this stuff so I will except the defeat of changing to the grid setting on the cubic theme…

Displaying images in a grid is not difficult, if you know how. To create a grid of images linking to your posts with the Cubic or other similar themes it is typically necessary to upload a featured image to each post.
Themes with a grid-based or tiled posts page format (images link to posts) include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:

    • Autofocus
    • Cubic
    • The Columnist
    • Fontfolio
    • Hatch
    • Imbalance 2 (mosaic)
    • Mixfolio
    • Pictorico
    • Visual

“Displaying images in a grid is not difficult, if you know how.”
    Change that to:
Displaying images linking to posts in a grid is not difficult, if you are using one of the themes that display posts in this way, and you know how to apply this feature of the theme.
