How to remove the page title from Home Page?

  Hi! While on the Forums again I just happened to find that I never closed this thread or saw that it received a response. (Thanks retroactively to the user who responded!) I checked on this just now and it still does not appear to have a resolution.

  On my homepage, it displays my page title (not the site title) as a Permalink above all my other content. I would not like that page title (“Blog Home”) to be there, but I am not sure how to remove it because when I select it the settings say “<i>No Block Selected</i>”.

  I am using the free version of WordPress.com, so I do not have access to the site-wide CSS to change it that way.

  Unticking the “Display Site Title and Tagline” box in Personalization removes the site title but it does not remove the page title. Any suggestions on how to remove that pesky “Blog Home” text?

  Hi there!

  I checked the Independent Publisher 2 WordPress theme settings and there is no way to remove it.

  If you insist on removing it, there is a way, but it requires a business plan, which will allow you to add custom CSS code to a page using the Custom HTML block.

  On the free plan, adding the <style> is not allowed when using the custom HTML block for security reasons. You can check the documentation for more information.

  Alternatively, you can completely remove the page title from your entire site by using the Customizer -> Additional CSS.

  Ah, okay, so it’s a result of the theme and is locked in there unless I pay for permissions to custom-CSS it out. Okay, thank you, that’s exactly what I needed to know! I appreciate your response!
