How to remove the post date from a wordpress blog?
-
Hi,
Could you please tell me how to remove the post date from the blog? I use the twenty ten theme.
Thanks. :)
JoanneThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The date is embedded into every post URL and we cannot change that at all as we cannot edit themes. If you wish to remove the date that appears on the posts you have to purchase an annually renewable custom design upgrade and do the required CSS editing to remove it.

Seeing the answer given by timethief makes me think that perhaps I have not understood your question properly, because I have found it to be quite simple to change the date posted on a blog. I have done it several times. And I do not have any premium upgrades. Click “edit”. On the edit screen, off to the right, you will see both the date and the time the blog was published. There is a little edit tab beside it. Click that. Then change the date and the time. Then click “update”. Although doing this does not change the date in the URL, it does change where it appears sequentially in your blogroll, and does change the date that appears beside it on your page. Hope this helps.

@lurassarah
That’s not what christmasscrooge was referring to.I have done it several times.
Having said that are you aware that every time you change a date you break a link? Please read this so you know what the search engine impact is when you publish a post then and edit it and change the date. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/08/05/avoid-creating-404-pages/
