How to remove the subcribe feature
-
I have a simple one-page website with no blog posts. I deleted the ones that were automatically generated by the theme. A day later, this subscribe button pops up on mobile and desktop. I see from this thread that it shows up if I have two or more blog posts, but I only have the one home page and nothing else.
Any clue to what the problem is?

Same issue, with the Fontaine template. Worse, it has white text on white background, so just looks broken. Weirdly, on mobile it’s grey text on white.
I’m sure this box wasn’t present until recently. -
Hi there, the Action Bar has been displayed on WordPress.com websites for years, but it doesn’t appear on all pages.
If you have a CSS enabled plan (Premium and up) or the Custom CSS Add-On, you can remove it using Custom CSS as described in this Support Guide: https://wordpress.com/support/action-bar/

And visitors can shrink the box by clicking on the three dots. Not that it matters as the whole box goes away when a visitor scrolls down the front page.
-
And then it reappears when a visitor scrolls back up the page.
@maxn19 have you thought about using a different theme? LowFi https://wordpress.com/theme/lowfi/ has a very narrow content column, so it doesn’t take much for the index page to go “below the fold.”
(And good luck with your efforts!)
