How to remove 'This is the excerpt for your very first post.'

    I’ve created a blog, but have tried in vain to get ‘help’ words removed from my home page. Under the headline I wrote for my first blog, this sentence remains ‘This is the excerpt for your very first post.’ I have not found the spot to remove it. Thanks.

    I just figured this out right now. Click the ‘edit’ button to edit your first post. On the right side there is a row of options. Click ‘more options’ and go down to where you see ‘Excerpt’ and a box underneath it should read ‘this is the excerpt from your very first post.’ Erase every word, leave it blank, and click ‘Update.’
