how to remove widget that shows up but isn't there…
-
1) How do I get rid of the search widget on the left in my “about” and “BluKatDesign..” I see no “search” widgets anywhere to eliminate in my widgets. I am assuming this is my “primary sidebar”??? I only see widgets on my secondary sidebar and blog primary side bar, none of these are search widgets. 2) Where do I learn where all of these primary, secondary home, home third widget area etc. are also?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Stay has 8 widget areas from which to choose. Scroll down to widget areas here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/stay/
All widgets or very kind are installed and uninstalled here >Appearance > Widgets

Thanks for the info but why is there a search widget on the left of 2 of my pages? I removed ALL search widgets and it showed up on both pages. I put a search widget back on my “blog” where I want it. How do I get rid of the other 2 widgets? I was think maybe they are part of my template but I am not seeing them on the above link to “Stay”

I am assuming these search widgets are in my primary sidebar??? I have no clue how wp maps out the widget areas! I see no “search widgets to remove from my primary sidebar or any other area except my “blog” and that’s where I want one!

Thanks for the info but why is there a search widget on the left of 2 of my pages?
Widgets now have “visibility” settings so we can select which pages they display on. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibility

I figured out how to get the visibility panels seen but how can that help when I have no widgets in my primary sidebar?
