How to remove WordPress site run by fired co-worker
-
Hi, Wondering if anyone can help. I work for an organisation that runs various wordpress blogs with students. A member of staff has been convicted of – and fired for – a serious offence.
We believe that he was the sole admin of an old wordpress.com blog for his department. It hasn’t been updated for a couple of years, but it’s still getting some hits. It doesn’t have any mature or abusive content or copyright infringements- only a couple of rather unprofessional photos – so we can’t have it pulled by reporting abuse. It’s also very out of date.
Is there any way of getting rid of it (we are now blogging in a slightly different way so it’s not practical to set up an opposing, more frequently updated site under a similar name ) and are sites that no longer updated ever deleted?
I’m pretty sure that we can’t be the first company to have this problem.
Hoping that you can help

Organizations, companies and/r groups of any kind do not own blogs here.
Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the WordPress.COM username account, who registered the blog under that username account, and their associated email address, and purchased any upgrades for it.
Simply stated you cannot delete any site that you did not register under your own username account and Staff will not delete it for you as you do not own the site.

The blog is not owned by the organisation, but by the member of staff. Apologies if I did not make this clear in my original post.
However thank you very much for your time and your clarification about WordPress.COM.
Could you let me know if sites that are no longer updated are ever deleted?
