How to remove wordpress.com from domain?

  Hi guys,
  Am very very new to this. I set up my wordpress account with my own domain name (nurturenutrition.com.au) but it now shows as nurturenutrition.com.au.wordpress.com How do I go about removing the .wordpress.com? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Deb

  Hi Deb,
  There are two steps involved: 1) set up domain mapping on WordPress.com to point to your content and 2) change the name servers at the registrar where you purchased the domain. Here’s the the guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  Once you’ve made the changes, it may take up to 72 hours for them to fully spread around the world. During that time your domain name may become temporarily inaccessible.

  Thanks micawbr, I appreciate the point in the right direction. Have done step 1 and will get onto my domain provider to change the name servers.
