How to renew an expired website domain name?

    I missed the emails notifying me to renew my domain name and now it looks like it has expired and so my website can no longer be seen. I’m not sure how to renew it or start the process to get it back – thanks for your help

    Above is my domain. I originally purchased it on 22 April 2013. It was last renewed on 22 March 2016. My website has been up and running until today. I missed the notifications as I do not use the email where the notifications went to.

    I am an artist and I feel sick that I have missed renewing my domain renewal – it is a big part of my livelihood.

    If I can get any help to renew it I would be really appreciative. Thank you

    Your domain has already been removed from our system and is currently in redemption with our registrar. It looks like it went into redemption yesterday, which is why it stopped working.

    It is still possible for me to recover the domain at this point, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. Let me know if you agree to that fee and I can get the recovery process started.

  • I’ve sent you a payment link via email. Once we receive your payment I can email our registrar to restore the domain. Then your domain should be active again within a day or two.

    In the unlikely event the recovery fails, we’ll refund your payment in full.

    I followed the link and made the payment and received the notification that the payment had been completed.

  • I’ve emailed our registrar to restore the domain. I’ll let you know as soon as they reply and the domain is active again.

  • Our registrar restored the domain a few hours ago, yes, and I’ve not reconnected it on your account as well so you’ll again see it listed on your Domains and Purchases pages.

    I see now the reason it failed to auto-renew is because the credit card attached to this upgrade expired in 2016. Please make sure you update the payment method on the Purchases page to ensure the domain doesn’t expire again next year :)
