How to renew domain in redemption status

What are the steps to renew my domain which is in redemption status? I have tried to email wordpress several times. I called Wild West (domain registrar) and they told me that to renew my domain I had to contact WordPress.com directly. What do I need to do next?
The annual renewal didn’t go through because my credit card number had expired. I have since updated it but can’t find anywhere for wordpress to take a payment.

That domain expired two months ago. It is still in the redemption period, but I don’t know for how much longer. Although the title of this thread is clear enough I have added the modlook tag to ask a staff member to advise if your domain can be recovered.

Hi, yes, I had seen the post you are referring to and it states you can pay a redemption fee on top of the normal renewal cost, but I can’t find anywhere the steps on how to pay this.
Thank you for the modlook tag – does that mean that an actual staff member will respond?
Is there a way to chat live with anyone – if I paid for an upgrade of some sort to get this straightened out?

After the grace period ends, your domain enters the redemption period, the length of which can vary. This means the domain name can still be renewed, but there is an $80.00 redemption fee required in addition to the normal renewal cost. (This is standard practice for domain registrars.)
