How to replace a media file?

    I’m wondering if it is possible to replace a media file so that the URL remains the same.

    Currently, I delete the media file and add another one. But the URL changes.

    I’d prefer the URL stays the same. Does anybody know if there is a way to do so? Thanks.

    No, there’s no way to do this on wordpress.com. If you re-upload the same file with the same name the same month, it gets an extra number (“bda_syllabus” will become “bda_syllabus1”). If you re-upload it after the month has passed, the date in the URL will be different.

    So you should either enter the link in a page and give the URL of the page instead of the URL of the file, or upload the file in a 3rd-party file-hosting site.
