How to replace existing website with new one at existing url.

  I own my url which has a 5 year old site connected. I have created a new site with a temporary url. It is ready to go live.

  How do I replace the old website with the new on on the existing url?

  (NB. the site is not the blog shown below. It is a new theme.)

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  More specifically, are both your old site and new site WordPress.COM sites?

  If they aren’t, then you are posting in the wrong forum and need to be posting over at http://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username there, you’ll need to register one.

  Thanks.
  I get confused here. I think the new one is WordPress.com. It is a StudioPress theme, Swank.

  The original site is a custom built site from 5 years ago that has nothing to do with WP. I want to take down the existing old site and replace with the new WP one.

  If you’ll give us the URL for the site you think is hosted on wordpress.com we can make sure it’s a wordpress.com site.

  To transfer your site to your existing domain, follow the instructions on this page https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/.
