How to replace the standard 404 page with an individualized page

  Love WordPress. Motivated, so I created our own personalized 404 page but I don’t know where/how to put it so it is generated on our site (to replace the standard 404 page). Please tell or show me. Many thanks!

  What website is this for? Your previous posts in this forum were for a site that didn’t use WordPress.com to host.

  Keep in mind that if WordPress.com does not host the site, this question will be better for WordPress.org forums. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.
