How to report obscene comment?

  I had an obscene comment (currently sitting in spam file).

  Is there a proper mechanism to report this and ban the commenter (a wordpress ID, by the way).

  We would not ban anyone for a comment.

  Delete the comment and add their name to one of the moderation boxes on the Discussion page of your blog admin.

  Of course, images are stripped out of comments at WordPress.com anyway.

  I am not talking about my site. . I clicked on a recent member post on a WordPress site and I thought it was borderline porn. Are there porn community standards?

  If it’s a site hosted at WordPress.COM, not just a site using WordPress software, then yes, there are standards: if it’s got adult material like porn, it should be reported at Mature (via the Admin bar when you’re logged in) and it’ll be taken off the Global tag pages and Possibly Related Posts, etc.
