how to report someone opening blog with my contact info

Hi- I can’t find any contact info to report this, so if anyone can help that would be great. I just got an email asking me to “confirm my new blog” on WordPress.com, but I did NOT set up a new blog. Obviously someone is using my gmail address as theirs to start a new blog. I think it is just a typo, because this woman’s name is very similar to mine. How do I report this to wordpress? Thanks!

accountnames and the connected emailaddress are both unique. No one can use your accountname or emailaddress.
I tagged this with modlook to get attention from Staff. They have access to the log files and can see what’s happening. -

As @staartmees already mentioned, it’s not possible for someone else to use the same email address as the one already associated with your WordPress.com account.
Can you please let me know the email address you received the activation message so I can further investigate this? The email address will only be visible to me and other staff members.

Hi: thanks for the replies. She did not use the email address associated with my WordPress account, because of course she couldn’t have. Ha ha! : ) She set up an account with another of my personal email addresses. I hope it was a typo as her name is similar to mine.

This user won’t get far without verifying the email address. I’m hoping they will try to verify their address, notice the typo, and fix it presently. They won’t be able to actually set up a site before that, as they won’t be able to post anything.
Alternatively, you could log in (resetting the password if needed) and make the site private or delete it, and close the account.
