How to republish an old post?

Is there a way to republish an old post? I’d like to put a note at the top of a post, that I’m republishing it today, because it is a good reminder of the Christmas Season. I didn’t see a way to get it to publish anew.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There’s a feature called “Copy a post” that should let you do that.

If you’re using the new (blue!) editor, scroll all the way to the bottom on the right and click “Switch to classic mode”.

If you’re using the old editor (via the Dashboard or “Add New Post”), you should see an option called “Writing Helper” under where you write the body of your post.

Select “Copy a post”, find the older post you’re looking for, then click copy.

All the content, tags, and whatnot should now be copied into your new post. Don’t forget to add your note about why you’re reposting into the top of the message body, and you should be set.

Thank you a thousand times. I followed your instructions easily; there was the copy a post! If it had been a snake, it would have bit me. Thank you, thank you!

You could have also reblogged the old Post – visit the old post and click on the Reblog button in the top nav bar and add your comment on why it is an oldie but goodie – note also that a Reblog avoids the duplicate content issue with search engines
