How to Resize Featured Image

  When I add a featured image to a page it blows up way too big and doesn’t show my full image. Plus I’d like to resize it on my homepage when it displays it as a featured page.

  For instance I added a featured image to my about page and the image is way too big.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Dara is designed to display featured images as large background images at the top of individual pages. These images will always take up 100% of the available screen width, and are therefore cropped/resized to look good on whichever device they’re being viewed on. Their isn’t any good way around the cropping/resizing that happens here.

  Due to the above, we recommend using featured images that are more flexible, decorative or abstract.

  If you dislike the way that the featured image appear on individual pages, but like the way they appear on your home page, you could hide them from individual pages via the Content Options panel of the WordPress.com Customizer.

  If you hide featured images from individual pages, you could then manually add an image to the page’s content so that it’s not resized by the theme.

  Thank you for your information. Can I discard the featured image and it’s position as well? I simply want a list of post titles without any image. Thank you!

  Hi plgiu2001,
  Click your edit button, on whichever page you are wanting to remove your featured image from. From this screen, page settings will be in the top right corner. Once you click on this, your featured image should show up and you can simply “x” it off and remove it from there.
