How to resolve feed reader issues on iOS platform?
-
A couple of readers have contacted me to say they cannot access the feed lists on my Subject Index (http://escapetoreality.org/index/subject_index/) on their iPads. One reader said that when she clicked on subject links, her iPad tried to open them on her podcast player. I suggested she download an RSS reader such as Feedly from the app store and she did. She added my website to her list, but the problem persists. Feeds are interpreted as podcasts, which they are not.
Any suggestions?

Hi Paul,
From what I can tell, iOS automatically opens all RSS feeds in its Podcasts app. I haven’t been able to find a way around that, so you might want to contact Apple support to find out if there’s a way to change that behavior in iOS.
Instead of clicking on the RSS links, your followers can tap and hold on those links, copy them, and then paste the link in a feed reader. Another option, if they are using iOS 8, is to follow the feeds directly in Safari:

I hope this helps!
