How to resolve the "exceeded login limit" issue?
-
I am running worldciv1314.wordpress.com as a class blog with my students. Today in class, while we were trying to blog, several students got the message that they have “exceeded your login limit.” What is causing this? Is there a setting or something I can change on my end to allow students to login?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have flagged this for the staff to give more of an answer
You are running into some anti-spam & abuse limits that are built into the system here. not sure about a workaround or what to suggest.
Do the students have their own accounts? this also sometimes happens when their are many people logging into or creating blogs from the same IP address in a short time

I wondered about the anti-spam problem. About half of my students got on the blog, and then the other half were unable to login.
Students are logging in with their own accounts. Most students are using their iPads — a combination of the website and the app, and both avenues seem to run into the same problem.

Hi all, has there been any way to solve this?
I too get the problem at my school:I have been getting my students to setup their own blogs for their progress over the year, adding comments and more.
However, whenever I want all the class to use their blogs at the same time I get the error:“You have exceeded the login limit…”
I am assuming this is because our school network uses the same IP for all outgoing connections.
Is there any way to avoid this? as currently it means we will not be able to use WordPress which I love so much!
Our school IP is: 115.124.1.150
My Blog is: http://mrdansclasses.wordpress.com
Students are also having issues with their own blogs they have created when all of them want to update their personal blogs at the same time.
Thanks again for such an amazing platform for learning and teaching!

Hi Jackie,
Thanks for getting back to me however I did not receive your email, not sure what address it went to really. Not sure if it got blocked via my school firewall – it does that when it is cranky.
I did get an email to rate your support however!
Any chance of sending the message through again, my school email is (email visible only to moderators and staff)
Thanks again

Your students should now be able to login without hitting the limit. Please let me know if you continue to run into trouble with this.
