How to restore a wordpress backup?

  My site is down and I have an email from WordPress saying there is a valid backup from 7/2 but I have no idea how to restore that. I cannot access it at all.

  Or, try logging out here:
  https://wordpress.com/me/account

  Then log in using the exact email address that got the backup notification, and see if you’re able to restore a backup then. Once you’re logged in with the correct account, you can also reach support directly:
