How to restore function to a theme on mysite.wordpress.com

On mysite.wordpress.com I activated the Coraline theme and everything was working fine for a few days until I tried switching positions on some my widgets. The screen flickered and suddenly I could no longer use all of the widget areas. The only 2 areas that will display widgets now are the Primary Widget Area and the First Footer Widget Area, all other areas will no longer display anything when I place a widget into them.

So is there anyway to delete and re-activate the Coraline template?

BTW Coraline works fine on my WP local install. I would just like to work on mysite.wordpress.com

    Thank you for your time.

Sorry the widget areas do not all work on my WP local site either.

Hi there, I took a look in your dashboard under Appearance > Theme Options and see that you have the Content-Sidebar Layout active, which has only the single side widget area. To have all three sidebar widget areas, you need to select Content-Sidebar-Sidebar or Sidebar-Sidebar-Content Layout.

On the footer widget areas, I was able to add widgets to all 4. With your current layout, the 1st and 3rd widget areas are on the left size with 1 above 3. 2 and 4 are on the right with 2 above 4.

You are welcome and don’t be hard on yourself. There is a lot to remember these days. :)
