How to Restore Navigation on Pique?
-
Hello
I don’t know how but for some reason my navigation bar has disappeared and I have no idea how to restore it. When I click on Menu > Menu Locations neither the primary or secondary menu options give me anything to click on. I’m seriously completely lost and if someone could just tell me how to restore the Pique Theme to it’s default customizations that would be fine. Ideally I would like to not restore everything and just restore the navigation bar, but since I don’t understand how to work wordpress proficiently, I wouldn’t mind resetting all the customizations. Thank you so much in advance! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

My post above does not answer your question. Have you used the theme customizer? https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/ See also https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/view-all/#1-create-a-custom-menu

Upgrades must be renewed annually.
re: renewing upgrades
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, renew or cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Managing Domains https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#managing-domains
If you are not logged in under the correct username account clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login under the correct username account.
If you do not have the required access you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it and have them transfer the sites to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
The owner of the site can transfer the site (and/or upgrades) to another account by adding another username account as an Admin. https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator

The site https://chihuahuanyc.wordpress.com/ presently has the Pique theme applied, and displays a navigation menu at the top. Have you resolved this issue?
When I click on Menu > Menu Locations neither the primary or secondary menu options give me anything to click on.
At Customize > Menus > Menu Locations, you should find two drop-down menus labeled Primary Menu and Secondary Menu. Here you may assign one menu to each of those locations.
At Customize > Menus you should also find a button for each of your custom menus, which when clicked open up to the corresponding settings for each custom menu. Below the list of menu items you should find a Display Location section which included boxes, that may be checked or unchecked, labeled Primary Menu and Secondary Menu.

Did you previously have an “anchor menu” displayed?
The Pique theme guide‘s Dynamic Menu section says:
Your front page can automatically show a menu with “jump” links, that will scroll down to your various panels. You can do this by navigating to Customize → Theme Options → Menu Settings and checking “Add an anchor menu to the front page..” Pique will then create that menu, for the front page only, that will link to each panel.

chihuahuanyc – are you all set here? The default menu in Pique is the anchor menu that musicdoc1 described just above, and it can be reset in the Customizer, as they mentioned. Please let us know if you get stuck at any step.
musicdoc1 & timethief – thanks for both your help!

Lovely, glad to hear it!
I’ll mark this thread as resolved but feel free to start a new one if you need help with anything else.
