How to restore your DNS A record (changed it by mistkae)

  Hi!

  I changed my DNS A Record to bit.ly in order to try URL Shortening, through MY DOMAINS @WP, but well, i wanted to change it back to WP but I didnt write down the A RECORD, and now I can’t find it anyway and my WP website doesnt point to wordpress. How can I obtain or restore my A RECORD DNS?

  Hi there. Fortunately, it’s pretty easy to correct your custom A record and have it point back to your WordPress site. Here’s the information from the support document at https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/setting-custom-a-records/#resetting-a-domain-a-record

  Resetting a domain A record

  To reset your domain’s A record and make it point to WordPress.com again, hover over your custom A record and click the trash icon to remove.

  You can access the domain settings at https://wordpress.com/my-domains
