How to retain a domain name while dropping the wordpress page

  If I have a domain name with you and want to drop it with wordpress but retain ownership of the domain name, how do I do that?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers.
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-management/
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-management/#update-nameservers

  Thanks.

  I have followed the directions and am in the nameservers area. Whatever I put in however, gets a “You must enter a registered nameserver” reply. What does a registered nameserver look like? I checked with the new site I am transferring to but obviously something isn’t right.

  Where are you transferring to? Who is you host?

  Your new host is the one that provides you with the name server settings, what have you been sent by your new host?

  Or are you just trying to replace the name sashaamaya.wordpress.com. with sashaamaya.com?
