How to retrieve website on free plan?

    Hi,

I have created a website on the free plan and launched it. I didn’t know I need to purchase a plan in order for the website to stay. How can I retrieve the site that I build ?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You don’t need to purchase a plan in order to have a website here at WordPress.com. It can be free for as long as you like.

However, if you want to add additional features or functionality to your site – like using a custom domain instead of the free dermarguscapital.wordpress.com URL – then you do need to upgrade to one of our paid plans.

You can see what each plan level offers here:

    Hope that clarifies things.

I am not sure which account is holding my domain tho. I actually released dermarguscapital.com previously. Is there any way I can check how I can retrieve the login to the wp-admin portal for this domain ?

Thanks for that. The domain itself is registered at GoDaddy and the upgrade you had here was for a Business plan and domain connection – which is not the same thing as transferring your domain to us. You simply logged into GoDaddy and changed the domain nameservers for that website.

If you had a previous WordPress site that was not created here, but elsewhere, you would need to find the nameservers for that hosting provider and update them at GoDaddy.

If you weren’t sure what your nameservers were previously, GoDaddy should have that information.

    I hope that clarifies things!
