How to reverse post order??

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, I want to print out my blog, but I need to have the posts in chronological order first. Does anyone know how I can reverse the way the posts show up on my blog, so the earliest posts are first, and the newest ones last? Thanks!!

Can we have a link to your blog please?

Sorry, here at wordpress.COM there is no way to reverse the order of posts. The reason I asked for the link to your blog is that we needed to make sure you were in the right forum. With a self-hosted wordpress blog this would be possible, but it would require a good working knowledge of PHP script to accomplish it as you would have to edit the underlying theme files and they are all written in PHP.

You might consider linking your username to your blog URL as explained in the sticky post at the top of the forum called 8 things…

I just looked up this question too and my solve was to just change the dates of my posts. Make sure you have “your recent posts” check marked under settings–reading.

    Hope that helps!

Let’s say there is no AUTOMATED way to do this. You have to change the dates of each of your posts every time you post.

    From the WP hosted perspective:

    This is disgusting.

You’re telling me there is NO WAY to make wordpress itself display the posts in reverse order despite the fact that a Google search turns up countless people trying to FIX this as if it were a problem as apparently it happens on its own from time to time?

So in theory I can write a plugin complex enough to calculate weather patterns, but if I want to reverse post order the machine bursts into flames.

    I just don’t buy it.

    From the self hosted perspective:

    See above.
