how to revert back the changes I made in the editor
-
So I installed this theme on a self-hosted WordPress site and it was all perfectly fine except I couldn’t add a site logo. And when I tried to copy a bit of code, the add logo part appeared in the site identity section. But after adding the logo, it messed up the menu on each page. Even after deleting the code from the editor, I cannot undo the mess. How do I revert the changes I’ve done without having to start all over again? :(

hi,
This forum is for WordPress.com sites and related products.
As you said you have a self-hosted site, you will get better help in the WordPress.org forums at: https://wordpress.org/support/
You can register here to be able to post in the forums: https://login.wordpress.org/registerOne way to resolve the issue would be to change the theme to default Twenty Seventeen to see if it is OK, then change the theme back to your preferred theme. You’ll get better and detailed suggestions in the WordPress.org forums.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are different from each other, to understand the difference, read: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

@freedomagainfoundation, which theme? If it is a theme designed by Automattic, then it would need to have the Jetpack Plugin installed and connected to WordPress.com.
