HOw to run sub-domain separately from primary domain
-
Hi guys,
I would like to ask you for help. At the moment I’m running magazine on mapped domain, managed by wordpress.com. Because the readers count is increasing I would like to add a sub-domain (galerry.somedomain.com) where gallery theme will be accessible. Now the question:
Do I need to create another separate web hosting for this sub domain? If yes, how the current domain (somedomain.com) will be pointed (redirected) to the new sub-domain (galerry.somedomain.com)?Thanks for any advice
RomanThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi romanpetrlik,
You don’t need to create another separate web hosting account to add a sub-domain here in WordPress.com.
If you would like to create a sub-domain to a domain you already own in WordPress.com, please read and follow the steps listed in the below supprt documentation.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/Hope that helps.
Thank you.
