You can follow as many sites as you want. However, we do have measures in place to prevent abuse of the Following feature.
The Following feature is intended to follow a reasonable number of sites you actually want to read, and is not intended as a way to get follow-backs from other people. Abuse of this feature, like, for example, rapidly following large numbers of sites in a short period of time without actually viewing them, can result in feature being disabled for your account.
