  Is there an easy way to search for WordPress hosted blogs which share a specific theme?

  Depends. If the content is a tag, like Poetry, you can go to the global Poetry tag page at http://wordpress.com/tag/poetry

  If it’s a sentence or something like that, you just do a Google search but in the search box you put

  SearchItem site:wordpress.com

  Like raincoaster I’m assuming what you mean by theme is subject matter. If what you mean is using the same theme/template as the one you use please post again.

The blog name, post titles, and post/comment author names are not indexed so you can search for blogs on your target topics by using keywords.
