How to see exactly where my referral came from
-
I check my blog stats on a regular basis and just now I saw that “Google News” referred someone to my blog today. I’m really curious about this! Does it mean that an article in Google News has linked to my blog? Is there a way of finding the Google News link that has brought people to my blog? Thanks!

Thanks timethief. :) Having been blogging for a few years now, I know what referrers and search engine terms are — my question is whether it is possible to find the page on Google News that links to my blog.

Google News referrals are great news! It means that your blog has extra chances to appear on Google and that Google considers it to be a true news source rather than just some random blog.
Unfortunately, sometimes we can see exactly where a GN referral came from in terms of which link, what story, what it looks like on Google, and sometimes we can’t. It’s just something Google does and I’m afraid we have no control over that.
