How to see the self hosted blog in comments on wordpress.com?

    I tried commenting on a wp.com-blog, because it’s what everyone tells you to do once you start your blog, so you can get backlinks. I connected my self hosted blog to an wp.com-Account (both for commenting and so that I could use the app), but when I look on my comments there is no sign of my blog. It says that this wp user has no blog. How can I change that? It’s extremely life threatening for a newborn blog not to be able to build up it’s numbers of followers this way. Can anyone help me? Did I miss a necessary plugin or some settings on wp.com?
