How to select picture displaying on home page from picture gallery inside a post
-
Hi,
Each post that I created contains a picture gallery. I would ideally not like to have a featured image for the post. How can I dictate what picture the home page should be showing for the post?
Many thanks,
Alkis.

Thanks for quick reply. I fell on this thread earlier today as well, but not sure it gives me an answer.
Every of my post if composed of a picture gallery, no picture featured preset. The home displays a random picture of the picture gallery inside the post.
My question is: Is it really random or is there any way to dictate the picture we want on the home page (without having a big picture displayed on top of the post)?

When a picture gallery is in a post, I still don’t how the main page chooses a picture to display. It’s sometimes the first image of the gallery, sometimes the second, sometimes the third.

I’m sorry but I’m not willing set up my test blog and fool around with it until I have an answer for you. I tagged this thread for a Staff response.
