how to send newsletters or prevent it

sometimes I don’t want a newsletter to be sent to my subscribers, how to prevent it? or to make sure they are sent? is it possible to change what is written and how?

Hi there,
I’m afraid there is no way to stop posts from being sent out to your followers once they’ve followed your site. The only thing you’d be able to do to stop posts from being sent out is to set your entire site to “Private.” Doing so prevents anyone who hasn’t been invited to your site from being able to view it at all.
