How to set default alignment to LEFT and not NONE?

  • Unknown's avatar

I would like to change the default placement /alignment for picture files onto the page.

At some point last year, my blog began acting differently. Whereas before, all picture files placed onto the blog page went by default into the LEFT alignment, suddenly it began to default into the NONE position, which is not what I want.

How can I get my default back to LEFT?

If you don’t have the CSS upgrade, you will have to switch themes. It’s theme-dependent and the reason it changed is that staff were tinkering with the themes and have now made those changes permanent.

    raincoaster,

I’m not so sure that it is theme dependent. I may be mis-remembering and I’ve had other things on my mind so I’ve not noticed…

But I think it used to be that when I uploaded a photo and made choices about size,(small, medium, large) alignment,(none, left, center, right), and link url (none, file, or post)…

…then the next time I added a pic:
the settings would (continue to) be like the previous settings.

So are you saying wp changed things so settings for uploading/placing pictures are no longer controlled by a blogger’s history (past settings)?

They’re not saving for me. And I’m using three different themes. Maybe staff are STILL tinkering.

    Ah, right right. ok

So I don’t think it is theme dependent. I have not seen a theme where it works the way it used to.

(I have not tried all themes with this question in mind, though)
