How to set metadata for search engines?
-
My blog is on wordpress.com and while my posts are appearing in search engines, the description shown in the results is the same for all posts.
I can’t find any way to set metadata for each post.
Is there some way to have search result show a different description for each post? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are some things you can do. Clearly the info that comes up all the time is the very first thing search engines see on your blog. You need to point them to your posts more directly and you do that by putting the Recent Posts widget up high in the blog. Also the Archive widgets. Both of these provide easy ways for search engines to go directly to your posts.

It only makes a difference how soon it comes up in your metadata, ie when you look at the sourcecode of the blog. I believe it doesn’t make any difference if you have only one sidebar, but if you have two then you want it in the one read first. The theme you are using has a sidebar and a footer. Sidebar is better than footer.
