How to set up “like” and “comment” sections
-
Hi,
I am sure this is very elementary, but how do I set up a prominent “like” button and how can I get a better “questions” and “comments” area. I am not sure I have set any of this up properly. Advice and assistance would be welcome.
Thank you

Hi,
The “like” button appearance is default on WordPress.com, which means its appearance can’t be changed: https://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/
If you want, you can change the prompt in your “questions/comments” area. You can read about how to do this here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/
If you’re looking to learn more about how to change your site’s appearance, you can have a look through these video tutorials: https://en.support.wordpress.com/video-tutorials/customize-your-site/
You may also want to consider having a look at themes which support more of the features you’re looking for.
For example, here are some themes which support threaded comments: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/threaded-comments
Let me know if you need any further support :)

Hello there, just adding that for new accounts it is no longer possible to change the comment prompt. See here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/editing-the-comment-prompt/#post-3094411

Thank you so much.
